S. Natasha Gillis, Esq. is a business attorney whose practice area focuses mainly on transactions, contract review/drafting and counsel. Natasha has provided legal guidance to a range of medical and dental practices as well as numerous service-based businesses spanning a range of industries including government contractors, pet services, financial advisors, accountants and more. Natasha enjoys serving as the go-to attorney for numerous businesses.
Natasha's work includes business acquisitions, commercial real estate purchase and sale agreements, business succession planning, commercial lease drafting/review, entity formation (mainly small and professional corporations/limited liability companies) and drafting/reviewing and counseling clients on various other contracts for businesses at all stages including employee agreements, independent contractor agreements, non-disclosure agreements, non-compete agreements, purchase agreements, promissory notes, buy-sell agreements and more.
As a Northern Virginia native, Natasha graduated from George Mason University magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and International Politics, concentrating on Political Theory and Law and minoring in English Non-Fiction Writing and Editing in 2006. Upon graduating, she attended Howard University School of Law where she served as a student attorney in the Civil Rights Clinic and obtained her Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) in 2009.
Natasha spent two years working with the Civil Rights Clinic where she provided pro bono services as a student attorney to represent plaintiffs whose civil rights were jeopardized. It was during this time that the healthcare industry first sparked her interest. She advocated for a skilled African American obstetrician who was discriminated against and prevented from delivering a baby in a local hospital exclusively due to his race.
Most recently, Natasha volunteered her time consulting small businesses through the Leesburg Mason Enterprise Center (MEC) "Ask the Expert" clinics and served as a speaker in the 2018 Small Business Conference held at the Dulles Marriott.
During her free time, Natasha enjoys hiking, jogging and exploring the outdoors with her husband and two children.
Natasha holds an active license in good standing with the Virginia State Bar and is a member of the Health Law Section.
